This package contains two machines in your choice of grip, material, and color in anodized aluminum, as well as all 4 cam stroke profile variations in your choice of stroke length. One machine is set up as a liner or hard hitting machine( brass bearing arm), and one is set up as a soft hitting blender/shader (aluminum bearing arm). It also includes an RCA cord.
The Brass Bearing Arm has a harder hit and is recommended for most line work and color packing, but can be used for everything.
The Aluminum Bearing Arm has a softer hit and is recommended for delicate line work, soft gray shading, and multiple-pass color layering.
The 20% cam has the snappiest (most coil-like) feel to it and is recommended for all line work, but can be used for everything, depending on the application style and preferences of the artist.
The 28% has a slower insertion speed which translates to a slightly softer hit, with the same recoil speed of the 20%. This cam is recommended for soft gray shading, or can be used as an intermediary between the 20% and 40% for all-purpose use.
The 33% has the slowest insertion speed which translates to the softest hit, with the same rapid recoil of the 20%. This cam is recommended for super soft gray shading and/or multi-pass color layering with greatly reduced risk of trauma to the skin tissue. This cam is not recommended for lining.
The 40% has the slowest insertion speed which translates to the softest hit, with a slower recoil speed as well. This cam is recommended for soft gray shading and/or color blending at slower hand speeds, and is not recommended for lining.
Please be aware that our grip variations are made from varying materials, so their weights are different, and in some cases the differences are quite dramatic.
